"I only do this after much careful thought. I have been with State Farm since I was 18, so 16 years. I had always been pleased with the service but this incident just wasn’t right. Last year I got a letter saying I had to replace my roof because it was now 20 years old. I asked if there was any other reason or if I could prove that it was still stable could this be negotiated? But no I had to do it at my cost simply because of its age, or my homeowners insurance would be terminated. Thousands of dollars and a second mortgage later I did that and sent in the information to keep my insurance. Three months later my mortgage starts going up. I didn’t quite understand it so I looked into it and long story short I had no homeowners insurance for three months so they (the mortgage company) bought me extremely expensive insurance and were now passing the cost on to me. Apparently the info I had sent got lost so my coverage was terminated. I will admit I don’t read the mail because it’s always junk but I would have thought there would be some questions prompting an email or phone call when my insurance suddenly terminated after so many years without my requesting it. The rep said all that can be done is to reapply. I was quoted $40 more a month so I said no and have cancelled all my policies there for cheaper and equivalent insurance elsewhere. I’m more disappointed than anything because I understand things getting lost and if I had been apologized to profusely and given a small deal (or even same price) on renewing I would have stayed."

"This is my first bad review! I try to never give these, it am at a loss due to recent events. If I could give less stars I would. This insurance company gave me comprehensive coverage when I asked for full coverage, deceiving me into believing the dictionary term of the word which means everything important is included. After paying thousands of dollars for 2 years, fully believing I was fully covered, I rear ended someone and was told my car is not covered. When I called this office, a woman answered and told me it’s my fault that I was deceived because I didn’t protest to my paperwork saying “comprehensive coverage”, which I thought was full coverage. She then hung up on me because I was trying to explain to her the situation. I am a single mother who now has no way of supporting my son, and this scam agency is partly to blame for taking advantage of my ignorance to their distorted meaning of the term “comprehensive”. It is an absolute deceit for them to give this type of insurance when the client says “I want full coverage”."

"Absolutely ridiculous I called to get insurance on my van they said they'd call me back and they didn't so the next day I call back and they told me unfortunately I'm not eligible for insurance because of my driving record which is completely spotless I don't have a single ticket I drive professionally for a living I drive over 3,000 miles a week and haven't had a ticket or any accident in 7 years no accidents ever"

"I have been a customer of State Farm for more than 30 years. This office has horrible customer service. Most times they do not answer the phone. Must leave a message for them to call back. Tried to get coverage for a piece of property that we bought on a Friday afternoon. Agent was more worried about picking his son up than covering our property. Final straw for us. If you want personal service, go somewhere else."
"We are disappointed to see this review. Sometimes we are limited in what we are allowed to do and must follow corporate and state guidelines at all times. There are times when it may require some time for us to research options and contact one of our corporate partners for approval on certain requests, things that are beyond our control. Our employee stayed after hours on a Friday evening trying to resolve this and was, unfortunately, unable to meet the demands of the customer due to things beyond our control. We regret this and will continue to work to provide excellent customer service regardless of things we may or may not be able to control. "

"So very disappointed with this insurance agency. Had my auto policy payment set up to be taken out of my account each month, and they took one month of payments, then canceled my auto policy for no reason. My renter and life insurance which i only got for the discount was still taken out.🙄 The customer service representative even said, there was no reason stated anywhere. I didn't find out until my husband got a ticket for no insurance. They sent nothing. Never called. Just canceled the policy for NO REASON. We always have money in that account and had trusted them to do the right thing. Since it's a weekend, I can't even begin to address this problem til Monday, when it's convenient for them. Be careful with this one. You could end up with a ticket, unable to drive your vehicle, and your hands completely tied. Thank goodness we have family who can help us. Otherwise this could have ruined us. With this economy, they are playing with people's livelihood. Im absolutely furious and really want to warn others. DONT MAKE MY MISTAKE. It's worth paying a little more so you have freaking auto insurance."
